Here are the most common questions regarding the purchase of gold bars.

Order

Where can I find the terms and conditions?

You can find the terms and conditions at the bottom of the website.

How often are prices adjusted?

The price is recorded for 15 minutes, for all purchases, valid from the time you placed your first purchase in your basket.

Can I pay cash?

You cannot pay in cash. If you have received the payment request, you can only pay by bank transfer.

Can I also buy bars of other brands?

No, you can only buy bars of Umicore brand.

How does the purchasing process work?

If you have placed an order, you will receive a payment request by email. If you haven't received a payment request within an hour, please contact us by mail at [email protected] so we can send you the information needed to make the payment. 
Payment must be made directly via bank transfer within 24 hours. Your order will be sent via UPS/FedEx as soon as we have received the invoice amount.

Orders up to €10,000 can also be paid directly by Bancontact.

Private or company?

We sell exclusively to private individuals.

Shipping

How will my order be shipped?

We ship standard with UPS or FedEx for orders with a worth up to 16000 euro.

You can also choose for the option of dedicated transport

 

With an order worth higher than 16000 euro we will ship with dedicated courier.

 

Shipping cost:

UPS €26,45,- excl VAT (32,- incl VAT)

Dedicated courier €206,57,- excl VAT (249,95 incl VAT)

 

Are the precious metals sent safely ?

Your order will be registered and insured.

 

Does Umicore also ship products outside Belgium and Luxembourg?

No, we only ship to Belgium and Luxembourg.

 

Can I pick up my order at Umicore?

You cannot pick up your order. We ship only to Belgium and Luxembourg.

Delivery

When will my order be delivered?

Once we have received the invoice amount, we will send your order with UPS or FedEx. Usually your order is shipped the next business day.  

Please note: Shipping days may or may not be available during or around public holidays.

What happens if nobody is at home at delivery?

If the driver is unable to deliver the package to you, a second attempt will be made on the next day, .
You will receive a message in your letter box with the contact details of UPS/FedEx. 
Umicore recommends that you contact UPS/FedEx by telephone to schedule a new delivery agreement on a day that you are available.

 

At what time of day will my package be delivered?

Unfortunately, Umicore cannot specify at what time of day your package will be delivered.
We advise you to contact UPS/FedEx for more specific information.
